Why the name?

I take up a lot of space. Therefore, I often become a topic of conversation for others. In London, it happened to me that a group of Austrians made the remark: ‘He goes from meal to meal.’ They didn’t know that I could understand them. Children also sometimes notice me and say things like ‘Look, Mommy.’ I can’t blame children for that. Actually, I can’t blame others either. I am just very voluminous, and it attracts attention. Sometimes. It’s really not very often. I liked the expression. It also reminded me of the German phrase: ‘the elephant in the china shop.’: it happens to me quite often that I bump into things, have difficulty passing through narrow spaces, or inadvertently move or drop objects with my stomach.
